Med Surg Manager - Med-Surg Unit
Manages the overall operations of a clinical department in a rural hospital in order to provide defined patient care services in a prescribed clinical setting which meets ACH's standards of quality, efficiency, and desired outcomes.
This position works under the general direction of the Director of Nursing and/or Hospital Administrator with the service line responsibility of the position's assigned unit(s). The position works one regular shift, 5 days per week but is responsible for resolving issues occurring on all shifts, 7 days per week. Incumbents may be subject to hours over 40 per week and callback.
Qualifications:
Graduation from an Accredited Program of Nursing
Working knowledge of the unit's scope of care/practice
Basic knowledge of management principles
Proven leadership skills
Current RN Licensure in the State of Alabama
Desired qualifications:
B.S.N. degree
National certification in area of clinical responsibility within two years of eligibility requirement
Minimum of two years med-surg experience
